Last weekend was the big antique tractor show called "Power of the Past" that we've gone to the past several years. Unfortunately, it was my weekend to work, so I was afraid the boys would have to miss it for the first time since 2009, when Calvin looked like this:
But have no fear, SuperDad is here! Yes, Russ took all 4 kids by himself to see the tractors. And this is how Calvin looked this year by his favorite, the Allis-Chalmers. He's changed just a little in the past 4 years.
(And I think Calvin wanted his picture taken by a couple more pieces of Allis-Chalmers equipment.)
For good measure, we'll do the comparison shot of Oliver, too. Here he is at 18 months. . .
. . . and 5 years old. The Oliver tractors haven't changed nearly as much as the Oliver kid.
That's the extent of the pictures that Russ took, but way to go Daddy for remembering to take pictures at all! Calvin apparently took over the picture-taking and the rest of this post are his best shots. . .
Daddy's favorite: the Farm-All, in red and white!
More of Calvin's favorite. . .
I'm sad to have missed the tractors with my kiddos, but perhaps even more sad to have missed the homemade ice cream made by an antique engine. It's always so yummy!
Evelyn thinks so, too!
