Friday evening was the Wellsville Car Show, and the "Dwyer '49" made it's first public outing as it was entered in the show! Remember back to this posting about the truck? Well, after a LOT of hard work on the part of Grandpa Denny and Grandma Jo, it looks like a brand new, old truck now! Isn't it purty??
Not only does the outside look awesome, they got the inside restored as well. New seat, new headliner and all new paint.
Calvin and a couple of his buddies were excited to climb inside and check things out!
Grandma and Grandpa with the crew of kiddos!
Our friends, the Kavans, hosted a bake sale at the Car Show for their daughter, and Violet's friend, Zoe.
Mom and I helped Cindy at the sale.
Violet enjoyed some of the baked goodies.
In spite of the extreme late-August heat, there was a great turn out at the Car Show. I just love living in a small town, where everyone comes out for these events.
The kids had so much fun "showing off" the Dwyer '49 to their friends, and I foresee lots of memories being made in this truck in the coming years.
