Christmas Fun at School

This past week, my kids have had so many fun Christmas activities planned at school!  Calvin's teacher planned an extra-special math lesson that involved gingerbread houses.  First, they got to work constructing their masterpieces.
The math lesson came in when the kids had to determine the perimeter, volume, and surface area of their house.  What a great idea!  I sure like that Mrs. Robinson.
Miss Violet and the rest of the first graders had an all-things-Grinch day.  Their whole pod was decked out in green.  They had lots of Grinch-themed activities planned, and of course their day started with reading the book itself, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas."
I caught Violet giving Mrs. Van Horn a back rub during the story.  Mrs. Van Horn is famous for her back rubs, and an unexpected bonus of Violet being in her class this year is that she's learning back rubs from the best in the business!
We all love Mrs. Van Horn!
And finally, Oliver's class had an ornament party where they got to make and decorate lots of cute ornaments.
What a cute class he has!
Here are a few of the goodies my kiddos made at school this past week. I'm so thankful for creative and loving teachers who do such fun things for my kids!
