I just love our library and the special story hour Robin and Becky plan for our kiddos each Wednesday. We have been going through the alphabet this school year and today, we learned that "V is for Violet!" Miss Becky read some fun books about gardening and flowers, including this beautifully-illustrated book, "Alison's Zinnia" with flowers from A to Z.
We also learned about Violets. . . Did you know the flowers are edible??
We sang some songs and then it was time to plant our very own Violet plants!
First we made our signs to put in the pots, and then we decorated our flower pots with insect stickers.
Finally, we got our plants potted just right.
Beautiful violets for a beautiful Violet and Evelyn!
