Today was a beautiful day to spend outside at the Cleft Family Picnic!
We enjoyed a yummy picnic lunch and some fantastic entertainment provided by Soca Jukebox.
We met up with Violet's friends, Ava and Wyatt (and the rest of their family). Ava's daddy, Clay, is the talented singer in the band. He also plays the steel drums, which was really cool! These girls usually only see each other in March when we serve at the Ronald McDonald House in memory of Ava's sister, Lydia. It was great getting to see them in the fall!
The kids played at the park and even managed to get Evelyn to the top of the rock wall! They were all pretty proud of that.
The kids were excited when they discovered that all of the kids at the picnic could choose a new stuffed animal! We had most of the cast of "Finding Nemo" come home with us. (And Oliver got the random Bambi -- his first deer!)
The trees at Antioch Park were so pretty!
We played in the bubbles to finish off our day at the picnic. What a fun afternoon!
They are planning to make the picnic an annual event, so it will definitely be one we try to attend again!
