Gingerbread Houses

My friend Ashli had a great idea of having the kiddos over to make gingerbread houses. This was a first for us, but thanks to a dummie-proof kit, it was a success! Here are the candies, eagerly awaiting their placement on the colorful houses. . .

Plenty of little hands worked diligently, making the houses look just right.

I'm afraid Oliver was more interested in eating the candies that Calvin was so carefully placing.

"Can I have this one, too, Mom??"

And there's the beautiful creation. Miraculously, we got it home in one piece to show Daddy before the kids began de-constructing the house, one skittle at a time.
