Christmas 2010: Mom & Dad's

Saturday evening was spent celebrating Christmas at my mom & dad's house. Before everyone got messy with the delicious Mexican feast my mom had prepared, we took some family pictures.

Then Uncle John & Violet played for a bit.
After supper, Sydney read us the true Christmas story from Luke.
Then it was present time! The kids were so excited to start ripping into those packages!

Violet was completely in awe of all of the pretty paper. She sized them up. . .
. . . and then our little ATV (all-terrain Violet) decided to crawl right over them. She may not be walking yet, but she certainly can get where she needs to go!Some of the favorite gifts were Calvin's solar system for his room. . .
. . . and Oliver loved his new tool truck. . .
Violet was excited for her new fuzzy sweatshirt.

The boys had loads of fun with their helicopters. . .
And of course, all of the kids love their hoodies!
Mom & Dad liked their gifts, too. Dad (& Brynnie) are looking through the calendar of the grandkids, while Mom is reading her photo book about our vacation to Wisconsin Dells this past summer.
Some of the activities that led us into the night were a "block party", where we assembled the huge blocks Joy got for the boys. . .
. . . and we finished the evening around the piano singing Christmas carols.
The excitement was almost too much for Uncle John.
What a great evening spent with our family!
