With Valentine's Day being yesterday, there were some serious parties planned at Wellsville Elementary! At Violet's party, we admired all of the adorable homemade boxes.
And then Violet and her friend passed out their cards into each box.
They had plenty of yummy snacks and then played some games. Mrs. Van Horn tried to help Violet suck the candy heart up with her straw -- pretty tricky!
Then we walked around the school to deliver Valentines to all of her special people, like her wonderful speech therapist, Ms. Jean, and her fantastic OT, Ms. Janet.
Oliver's party in the 3rd grade was tons of fun as well. The kids passed out their Valentines and got lots of yummy treats.
I was given a good tip on a game from a friend and the kids had so much fun with it! They had to unwrap Hershey's kisses while wearing oven mitts, and then eat the kiss before they could pass the mitts off to their next team member. It was pretty difficult and these kids got so competitive!
Finally, our big 5th grader. . . and his LAST EVER elementary holiday party. I seriously can't believe we have reached this point already. Since it is the last party, they do a big combined party with all of the classes in the cafeteria. One class was responsible for sweet foods, one class brought salty foods, and Calvin's class brought drinks. There were exactly ZERO healthy options at this party -- the kids couldn't have been happier!
Here's some good 5th grade humor for you!
Some of Calvin's buddies being crazy at their party!
I'm glad I've been able to be at all of this boy's parties through the years, and I can't believe they are now done. :(
Not to be left out, Evie had her party at the library this morning. They read plenty of books with a "love" theme, sang songs, had some yummy cupcakes. . .
. . . and made some adorable bees. She can almost write her name.
What fun my kids had at their Valentine's Day parties!
