Feeling the LOVE

We've had a wonderful Valentine's Day in this house!  We kicked off the holiday last weekend with a "sweetheart dinner" at our house.  The past several years our church has hosted a dinner, but since they didn't do one this year, we just did it ourselves!  We invited our friends, the Rogers, over, and we all had a great evening!
The kids' table!  They toasted with their sparkling juice before dinner.
The adults' table was much more relaxed, and we actually waited to eat until the kids were done so we could eat with less disruptions.  The kids played so well all evening!
Looking at these pictures, I laughed at the color-coordination -- Rogers in blue and Dwyers in red!
Chocolate fondue for dessert made for plenty of happy party-goers!
Grandma Cheryl had plenty of fun activities planned for Evie and Kyla on Tuesday.  They loved making heart and rose-shaped mints to give out.  Look at that concentration as they punch the mints out of the mold!
She also got them the coolest Play-Doh toy.  Grandma knows how much her girls LOVE Play-Doh!
After the parties at school, we went to visit Virginia and take her some Valentine's cards.  Little did we know that we would be attending their Valentine Dance!  I know I say this all of the time, but I just love our Retirement Community.  They are always doing special things for their residents as well as the community, and Wellsville is so very fortunate to have such an awesome place!  Violet grabbed a partner and jumped on the dance floor as soon as we walked in. . .
The boys took a little more persuasion, but eventually came around.  It was so adorable watching Virginia teach them how to dance.
I think Calvin liked the fact that he was about as tall as his dance partner :)
The band was really good and Violet was totally intrigued by the bass.
It was such a good party, and my Violet girl was right in the middle of the action most of the time!
My kids were once again spoiled by all of their grandparents.  In addition to the special things Grandma Cheryl did for Kyla and Evelyn, she also gave my girls their cute shirts they wore on Valentine's Day (and my boys got new shirts as well).  Grandma Jo surprised them all with special gifts of stuffed animals and candy.  And Grandma Shirley mailed them each a Valentine's card with a dollar bill tucked in the middle! My kids really cleaned up!
For the 21st time, this man has been my Valentine!  And for the 20th time, he has been the lucky recipient of Valentines Day banana bread! I'm very predictable when it comes to this holiday, but I don't think he minds at all.
We were definitely all feeling the LOVE on this Valentine's Day!  Hope you and yours had a love-filled day also!
