Last weekend, the boys got a special treat when Daddy took them to see an NBA game! It was the Miami Heat vs. the Charlotte Hornets. The boys LOVE watching any kind of basketball, and last summer they watched a ton of the NBA play-offs. The boys always cheered for the Heat, and Russ always cheered for the Spurs; it was quite the competition. Anyway, when Uncle Kyle heard that the Heat would be playing at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, he asked if the Dwyer boys would want to go, and of course the answer was a resounding, "YES!" They went with Uncle Kyle, Tyler, and some friends from church as well -- it was quite the crew!
The only part of the Heat that Russ will admit to liking is our KU hero, Mario Chalmers. And how exciting that the boys got to meet him! Or his gigantic head, at least.
They apparently didn't get a picture with the Lebron fat head.
Russ' picture quality leaves a bit to be desired, but this is their best picture of the actual Lebron James during warm-ups.
And their other favorite is Ray Allen, also working hard during warm-ups as you can see.
The boys had a great time at their first NBA game!
