Advent is Here!

We are now entering into the season of Advent, when we prepare for Christ's coming to earth.  We have our banner and Advent wreath up at church, and the first candle is lit.

Violet's class got their class tree up and decorated, and my silly girl had a great time doing it!
And we've worked hard to get our house ready for the season as well.  Evelyn thought this might be the year that she climbed up to put the Nativity in the "nook", but on second thought, she decided this was really a better job for one of the boys.
Getting everything out. . .
. . . and beautiful!
Jo gifted us a few of her Christmas village pieces this year: the Apothecary shop and Accounting office, as well as a Victorian house and church. So, so pretty!

We added this year's Christmas card to our collection that began in 2006 when Calvin was a baby.
I love this time of year.  The decorations are beautiful, but they could never compare to the beauty of the babe in the manger.  May your Advent Season be blessed as you await the coming of our Lord!
