Last night, Violet and the rest of the 2nd graders at Wellsville Elementary School entertained us with their musical called "Nuts!"
One of the songs in this musical was "Big, Bad Squirrels" and this immediately made me think back to Calvin's kindergarten show. . .
. . . when he was one of the Big Bad Squirrels! Violet's class did the same song and it was just as cute today as it was 6 years ago.
Look how sweet my little kindergarten Calvin was as a squirrel!
Okay, now back to Violet's program last night. Violet is on the far left, front row and she did a great job of staying in her place throughout the show, doing some of the motions, and singing along.
When it came time for her line, she got a little stage fright. Even though we'd practiced her line hundreds of times ("The ground is covered with NUTS!"), and she had the support of her buddy Nora holding her hand, she just couldn't quite get it out. BUT, she still won over the crowd with her charm and sweetness!
The "Circle of Life" was definitely her favorite song and she did a great job with it.
These second graders did a great job with their program and I was so proud of my Violet girl!
