So today, my POOR children had to go back to school after 12 days off. Yes, 12 days! And with beautiful weather for the majority of those 12 days, these kids are pretty spoiled. To finish the break on a high note, Grandma Cheryl bravely took my boys along with Ty & Brynn to Silver Dollar City for Opening Day! Did I mention she took them ALL BY HERSELF? Like I said, she is one brave grandma! These are the pictures she was kind enough to send while they were gone.
Of course, they were able to convince Grandma to stop for some cheese on the way.
It was pretty exciting that Oliver hit the magical 48" mark for the first time on this trip. so the park was ALL HIS for the taking! No adults required. First time on the Electrospin.
He said his favorite ride was Outlaw Run, the big coaster. But another big perk of the day was the grand opening of their new ride, the Firefall. This one takes you up 8 stories and then drops you. Sound like fun, right??
Do these kids look excited or what??
They went to the park 2 days in a row with a fun evening of hotel swimming and pizza between them. And they finished off their little vacation with a yummy funnel cake at the park. That Grandma Cheryl sure knows how to make some happy kids!
With the State Basketball tournament to kick off spring break and Silver Dollar City to close it, these kids had a perfect week! And now the boys informed me that they only have 39 days of school left this year -- which means not very much longer until the fun of summer commences!!
