Oliver's final sports season as a Wellsville Eagle has now commenced with his first golf tournament of the year taking place at Rock Hills Country Club in Burlington yesterday. Before we get to the tournament itself, I wanted to share his senior golf banner pictures. He's so cute.
What a great crew of senior golfers! This group has been unchanged since their freshman year, which is pretty cool.
Now back to yesterday. It was a beautiful day, which we definitely don't take for granted during these early golf meets (or any of them, really). Oliver got off to a great start.
He actually led the whole tournament through the first several holes, which was really cool!
I had to leave after the 7th hole to get to Santa Fe Trail for Evelyn's first-ever middle school track meet. Russ was able to break away during the craziness of early April to drive to Burlington to see the last 7 holes or so.
Oliver didn't finish quite as strong as he started, but he still shot well enough to earn 6th overall individually. And with the help of Ryker and Ozzie they placed 2nd as a team, so I'd call that a great start to the season!
Here's to a fantastic senior golf campaign for my favorite golfer!!
