Punkin Pickin'

It's that time of year, and the weather couldn't be more perfect for finding the perfect pumpkin! We Dwyers represented by wearing our Royals Blue and met up with cousins at our usual pumpkin patch.
We checked out some of the more unusual pumpkin varieties. . .
. . . and all of the crazy chickens in the coop. . .
. . . before taking a couple more traditional pictures.
My kids are getting so tall!
We decided Syd and Jack were probably big enough to be exempt from this picture.
Off to the hay maze!
The girls took turns being Frankenstein and his bride; Evelyn liked this game a little more than Vi.
After the kids were done playing, we took off for the patch.
Lots of great pumpkins to choose from!
Looks like we found some winners!
Evelyn was especially proud of her find!
The littlest girls with their perfect pumpkins:
The men prepared to haul back our harvest.
Some walked back through the patch. . .
. . . and some hitched a ride on the wagon.
What a great day we had at the pumpkin patch. . . and Go Royals!!

Family Pics 2015

We took advantage of this gorgeous fall weather to update our family pictures.  We went to one of our favorite places, the farm!  Thankfully, Grandpa Denny wasn't interrupted with our photo shoot, and I think we got some keepers!

And a couple of good out-takes also :)
I wanted to get a picture of just Russ and me, but Miss Evie insisted on being with us.
Happy Fall!

Violet's Cheerleading Debut!

The high school cheerleaders put on a clinic for the elementary girls each fall to teach them some cheers and a dance routine that they get to perform under the Friday night lights.  When the flier came home in Violet's back pack, I knew she would LOVE this. She had a blast at the clinic!
(Someone else REALLY wanted to be in the clinic with her big sis!)
The fun at the clinic couldn't compare to the fun last night at the football game!  Does this girl look ready or what?!?
Her favorite cheerleader, LouLou, was a huge help with Violet!
A little practice time in the gym. . .
. . . and then it was show time!  Violet may not have been actually doing any of the moves, but she still managed to steal the show with all of her smiles and waves to the people in the stands!
She was just so happy to be on the track cheering with her friends.
They cheered during the first half and then took to the field for their halftime performance.
Violet pretty much just wandered around during the routine, but a lot of the other girls were clueless, too, so it was okay.
The high school girls did a great job with so many little ones to keep track of.
Great job, girlies!
Syd came to get some Violet hugs after her big night.
What a great night for Violet and all of the girls who participated.  I'm so thankful that all of the Wellsville community loves my Violet and takes care of her so well!
