Savior of the nations, come,
Virgin's Son, make here Your home!
Marvel now, O heav'n and earth,
That the Lord chose such a birth. LSB 332 v1
We have entered one of my favorite seasons of the year: Advent! I love the lights, the hymns, the gatherings, the Scripture readings, the promises we receive as we await the coming of our Savior! We got our house dressed up for the season once again and here are just a couple pictures of our big tree and Grandpa Evan's tree. (We got some snow to add to the beauty!)
Jo gifted us a few more village pieces and I love how it looks in the living room.
Violet and Kitty love the tree!
The kids each have their trees decorated with their personal ornaments and their "Wilford" Nativity Sets are up (Yes, there are 4 of these in our house)!
The boys have bigger trees now that they keep in the living room downstairs. We also have our Crismon wreath hanging and Jesse tree ornaments on.
Our church is also getting ready! All decked out in blue with the beautiful Advent wreath showing the first candle lit!
When we returned for confirmation class last evening, we saw the belfry was lit up with blue also!
Isaiah spoke about this coming King and we get to anticipate His coming each and every day, but especially during this season of Advent!
Not by human flesh and blood,
By the Spirit of our God,
Was the Word of God made flesh--
Woman's offspring, pure and fresh. LSB 332 v2
